Monthly review + designing the next three weeks
A report is not a one-time event. The reason it becomes everyday vocabulary is the 30-minute end-of-month review + a single card for the next three weeks. The exact 4-step protocol.
Why monthly re-opening
A one-line mission repeated for 21 days becomes everyday vocabulary. But once a month, new commitments push it slightly out. That is why the last 30 minutes of every month exist — to re-open the booklet. Those 30 minutes set the weight of the next month.
End-of-month review — 30 minutes, 4 steps
Step 1 (5 min) · How much did last month's one-line mission fire?
- Rewrite the mission line (by hand recommended).
- How many decisions did it actually show up for this month — count on your fingers.
- 0–3 times: next month's biggest job is raising exposure frequency.
- 4+: next month is about depth of application.
Step 2 (10 min) · What ran / what didn't — one table
| 3 actions that ran | 3 actions that did not |
|---|---|
| Why they ran (time / place / tool) | Why they didn't (barrier / misread / will) |
The point is not to brag about the good column. It's to extract the common variable behind the actions that ran. Usually it sits at the intersection of same time, same place, same tool.
Step 3 (10 min) · One card for the next three weeks
Write weeks 1–3 of next month onto a single card.
- Week 1 — Exposure: raise the daily exposure of the one-line mission at the same time / place.
- Week 2 — Lock: pin the three actions that ran to same time / same place / same tool.
- Week 3 — Retry: take one of the three that didn't run and retry it with conditions changed (e.g., morning → lunch, alone → 1+1).
Step 4 (5 min) · Refresh the 3-month check criterion
End-of-month is when you either keep or lightly adjust the one-line 3-month check criterion. Change only when this month's data justifies it.

Why this card sits inside the booklet
This card template wasn't engineered for marketing. Since his university days, the founder has been writing his own mission, vision, identity, strengths, and core values by hand in a Franklin-style planner — and learned, from his own data, that without carrying one month's lessons into the next, the same decision repeats in the same seat. Starting with himself and then walking through the same exercise with one person at a time, in person — that accumulation is what now sits inside this $8.99 booklet as the card you just read.
A report is not completed at issue. It is completed by “the one line you re-open every month.”
